Schedule Of Events

Date:     December 1st through the 4th
Where:  James H. Rainwater Conference Center

Saturday December 1st:  Community open house from 10 – 3. The public can come
view the donated trees for a $5 entry fee. Additional activities will include
performances from area schools, a visit from Santa Claus, and judging of the
trees by Dr. Lucy Greene, and Mayor Fretti.

Saturday evening is the BIG EVENT. The Gala/Auction begins at 7 pm. There will
be a live band, wonderful food, wine and cheese demonstration , silent
and live auction of the donated trees, door prizes, jewelry raffle AND the chance to win a
raffled 42” plasma HDTV – tickets may be purchased in advance for $5 and you
must be present to win.

Sunday, December 2nd consists of an afternoon of enjoying Handbell choirs and Jazz Bands while viewing the trees that were purchased during the Gala/Auction for $5 admission.

Monday we will offer opportunities for local area schools to view the displayed trees during field trips.

Tuesday is for senior citizen groups to enjoy the trees during the “Silver Tea Parties”.
Teas are $2 per person.

During the entire event there will be a large tree in the grand lobby that will
be decorated with ornaments that may be purchased in Honor and Memory of those
special in your life. The names will be handwritten on the ornament, and may be
picked up on Wednesday at the Conference Center.
